Can a person without the Spirit understand anything about the Bible? Explain. Being Born Again as a Qualification for Interpreting Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again” (John 3:3). God’s Spirit enters a person at the new birth. At that time, a person is in the kingdom—under God’s rule. Also, God’s Spirit within a person enables spiritual understanding. The wisest teacher on earth, without the Spirit, may be blind to spiritual truth.
